lyrics

Desert city rain, heavy and pale white...
we barely hear the sirens.
Road runners hide away, wait for the sunlight
to race our streets again.
The air takes on a weight, rolls down the hillside,
and blankets our new skin.
A mid-summer refrain, a cotton covered sky,
tucks everyone in.

Desert city rain, a veil on the skyline,
the mountains turn to myst.
Our little willow sways, mana from on-high,
she'll blush in bloom again.
The alley rivers rage, downtown's a landslide,
all sand and cigarettes.
The kettle starts to shake, I pour yours before mine,
we waste the day in bed.

Desert city rain, a static lullaby,
we barely hear the sirens...
